Let’s Go Surfin Now, Everybody’s Learnin How ….
It has been a while since I have been surfing and probably will not be surfing anytime soon. So, I was just kinda taking a look around to see if there are any improvements in this fun sport! Well, I was surprised to see that there was. In the past, surfboards have been made with wood, stryofoam, resins, etc. Today, the makers of surfboards are using recyclable and sustainable materials, such as:
- Reclaimed and sustainably harvested wood
- Cork – a renewable resource
- EPS foam – a recyclable surfboard foam
- Epoxy – which emits very low VOCs (volatile Organic compounds) and does not require solvents for clean up. (more…)

I don’t think there’s any excuse to throw away old furniture just because you don’t like the look of the upholstery. Whether it’s the color or pattern that isn’t to your taste, or the fabric is worn or stained, as long as the seat is comfortable to sit on, it still has plenty of life left in it. (more…)

Guarded behind two security doors and two airlocks, the vault celebrated its first birthday February 26, with the addition of 90,000 seed samples. Which included 32 varieties of potatoes, 3,800 samples of wheat and barley, and 20,000 backup copies of seeds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The vault has stockpiled more than 400,000 samples over the past year, and can accommodate 4.5 million samples total. (more…)

There is a new thing going on here in Texas that many of you may know about.
Filling your car tires with something other than air. How about Nitrogen! Not
