There are some myths running around out there that need to be clarified
with some reasons why they are just that …. Myths!
Myth 1 – Replacing windows is a good investment.
New windows will take 20 to 30 years to pay for themselves. Replacing
single-pane windows with double-pane low-e windows will save energy and money.
In a house with 20 windows, you will save $17 per window in energy cost each
year. It will take you almost 24 years to recoup the cost of windows that cost

This weekend may be the last to get ready for winter. So what do you do?
If you live in the north, your fuel bill ran approx. $977 last year and this
next year, it will go up to approx. $1182. A huge jump at a rate of 20%.
So what can you do to reduce this?
You can change out the filter in the furnace. Rule of thumb is to change it

“Weather-wise” your home for comfort and to cut down on utility bills
for both summer and winter:
- Weather strip windows and doors and repair thresholds and door bottoms.
- Seal large gaps in plumbing and electrical pass throughs with canned
foam.

Reusable bags reduce the amount of crude oil and natural gas used to
make plastic bags. They also reduce the amount of waste in landfills and
God forbid, our waterways and oceans.
