The Gang Down Under Is At It Again – Giving Us Another Exciting Path Towards Our Green Future
SkyLifter Pty Ltd was founded in 2008 and is based in Perth, Western Australia, well actually Joondalup, 15.5 miles (25km) north of Perth. The company already has active field offices in Europe and Asia and research and development, manufacturing and testing taking place around the world. Probably because it doesn’t take a crystal ball to see the potential of this exciting new company developing their futuristic innovative vertical pick-up and delivery aircraft capable of carrying 150 tons, a genuine heavy airlift solution that will take over where helicopters leave off in terms of payload and range capability. With helicopter technology limited to payloads of up to 20 tons, a SkyLifter’s 150 ton vertical pick-up and delivery capabilities of payloads of any shape, any location, and any distance, will present a paradigm shift for the heavy airlift industry. And we have lots to tell you about what Air Vehicle inventor Guy Negre and
his development team in Carros, France, are doing, including the October 9
announcement of a new Air Vehicle city transport solution called the AIRPod.
Also, all the Air Vehicles get new names!
When will the 4-door, six-seat US model be available? They expect it to be
manufactured in the US in 2010. They originally planned to take reservations for
the vehicle in 2008 but now plan do so in mid-2009 as we now anticipate demand
to far exceed the early production capability. (more…)

I have doing some research on how to get off the grid. After hurricane Ike’s
tremendous impact not only on the coast but also how far it went throughout
the U.S., I needed to find something that I could do rather cheaply.
I found that Off the Grid Living has all the information you will need to make
the change from being married to your utility company to financial and personal
freedom.
Their promise is that you can build a 1000 watt wind generator with no special
tools and no experience in about 2 weekends for under $100. So far there have
been hundreds of families who have duplicated their success. (more…)

You can make your own biodiesel with these three ingredients; methanol, sodium
hydroxide (lye/ caustic soda like for cleaning drains, found next to Drano), and
vegetable oil. Everything you can get at the grocery store. Except for maybe the
methanol, but you can get it at the auto parts store. Gas line antifreeze is
usually pure methanol. (more…)

GreenHunter Energy, Inc. began operations at it’s Houston, Texas,
biodiesel refinery, which can produce 105 million gallons per year
(mgpy). That capacity narrowly beats out the Imperium Renewables’
biodiesel refinery in Washington State, making it the largest
biodiesel plant in the United States.
The new facility is able to produce biodiesel from animal fats, (more…)

A company called Terra Cycle makes products out of garbage. They take the organic waste, feed it to earth worms, which ingest it and poop out fantastic fertilizer.
The worm poop is liquefied in large vats by adding water, bubbling it, to rid it of
chloride and add oxygen, and eat. The company says it takes 5 days for the process. (more…)
