They could have given the loan on the condition that the automakers start building
only cars and mass transit that reduce our dependency on oil.

They could have given the loan on the condition that the automakers build cars that
reduce global warming.

They could have given the loan on the condition that the automakers withdraw their
many lawsuits against state governments in their attempts to not comply with our (more…)

We Americans plug in, text, log on, tune in (tv) and tune out (music). We use
13 times the power than just 60 years ago. Electricity is truly the life blood
of the U.S. Economy. Back in 2003, New York and surrounding areas really realized
how important electricity is. 50 million folks lost their power in minutes.

Building a national grid may be on top of President Obama’s list of things to
do. One idea is a power network, modeled like the interstate road system
that was thought up by President Eisenhower. Some folks feel that moving
power the same way could help out in the long run. This system would supercede
the 200,000 miles of power lines and 500 different owners.

Wind farms that have been cropping up everywhere need to have transmission lines
to the surrounding cities, towns, and villages. The same is true for solar, (more…)

If you think the wind industry is sitting still, you have another thing
coming.  There are companies investing, building and offering jobs along
with T. Boone.  So here they are:

Little Rock, Arkansas

Polymarin Composites and Wind Water Technologies (WWT) announced October 8
that it will invest $20 million to transform the former Levi Building into a
combined wind turbine blade and nacelle manufacturing facility, creating 830
new jobs with an average wage of $15/hour.  General Wesley Clark is a principal
of WWT’s parent company, EWT. (more…)

Since Hurricane Ike, the City of Houston has been trying to figure out how
to recycle the wood debris.  From Galveston to North of Houston, there is
plenty of wood debris to be collected but not sent to the local landfills.

So the City has come up with a nationwide contest in hopes of someone coming
up with a recycling idea that will get rid of 5.6 million cubic yards of
tree waste cleaned up from households and front yards. (more…)

Hi, Pals!

I’m  against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, Im in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in
a We Deserve It Dividend.

To  make the math simple, lets assume there are 200,000,000
bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man,  woman
and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and  up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00. (more…)
