Family Emergency and Green Living Update

Wednesday, May 11th, 2011

Green Living Update – Linda has asked me to let everyone know that she has been in Houston since the 23rd of April due to a routine surgery turned medical emergency. Thankfully it is not Linda herself, but her “partner in crime” as she lovingly referred to him. A simple trip, and yet the procedure turned into a living nightmare.

Green Living On Her Mind

Even with all the stress and strain, Linda’s been at her wits end. Unable to access any computer (the closest is 30 miles away from the VA Hospital), keeping her blog going on its green living path has had her concerned. She misses blogging and keeping you all updated in the worst sort of way.

Please take a moment and send them your best of best thoughts and love! With luck, Linda should return sometime this Friday, but I’m positive she’ll need a bit of down time just to recover from the ordeal.

Amazing, Green Living, Eco-Friendly Video

In the meantime, Linda did ask me to go ahead and send you on over to the coolest green living, eco-friendly way of living video at ImWebNiches. It’s amazing what one person’s vision can become with thought and imagination. 300 square feet of living space turned into a 24-room apartment!

And… Don’t worry… You’ll soon have your green living real expert back soon!

Are You Prepared ?

Friday, March 11th, 2011

For many of us, we are not prepared!

free foodPrepared for what? Spring has arrived, the snow is melting, and here come the rains. Flooding is occurring in the north and tornadoes are at the beginning of their yearly reign. Next comes the hurricane season. And just today, Japan got hit with a 8.9 earthquake and tsunami! Add in those of us who have been hit hard by this economy. By any chance, do you have emergency food storage that could help you survive for a few weeks, or even several months?

There is a new co-op that is at the grassroots level to give people free food. A CO-OP is nothing more than a group of people working together in order to obtain discount pricing on products and services.

The SOLUTION… Providing food at wholesale discount prices and creating a system to give it away for free along with it tasting better than regular grocery store food. That solution is now called…Free Food 2Go.

So how do you get free food? Well, grasshopper, glad you asked and please watch this video.

The first thing you need to do is to join the Free Food Co-op for a one time fee of $8.50. However, for a limited time it is only $4.00. Then get the free food sample pack(a $12 value). This will give you an idea of how the food tastes. Satisfaction is guaranteed.

There are many folks out there predicting that food costs are going up. Why not get ahead of the curve (or natural disasters) and stock up?
It is always good to have a backup plan for any event that you and your family will experience. So, give this a try!

Free Food …. as the green future unfolds. All of our prayers are with the Japanese people.

RIP Picher, Oklahoma 1918 – 2011

Located in the northeast corner of Oklahoma, the town of Picher was once home to the world’s richest lead and zinc mining field. After decades of mining, towering piles of mine waste covered 25,000 acres, devastating Quapaw tribal lands and local economies. Acid mine water burned nearby Tar Creek and stained it red. An alarmingly high percentage of local children were found to have toxic levels of lead in their blood, along with high rates of cancer and other diseases among the populace. (more…)

Here are some home remedies to take care of a few maladies!

healing-heart-holisticallyI know that many of you have heard of these but they bear repeating for all of us who have not. Let’s just save some money.

Did you know that drinking two glasses of Gatorade can relieve headache pain almost immediately-without the unpleasant side effects caused by traditional pain relievers?

Did you know that Colgate Toothpaste makes an excellent salve for burns?

Before you head to the drugstore for a high-priced inhaler filled with mysterious chemicals, (more…)
