Transforming Trash into Music

Landfill Harmonic film

Music is not dead in the poorest of countries. The cost of a violin is as much as a house in Paraquay. So, the local people have used trash to assemble a variety of musical instruments for their kids. Watch how they have done it.

To me, this is just amazing how an orchestra can be assembled with these instruments that really and truly sound like the real thing. As you have listened and watched, do you not think this could be done everywhere? I certainly do.

What is really beautiful about this is that the children are just as happy playing these instruments. Congratulations to the parents and the individuals that have created these.
