Almost Waterless!

The EVOLUTE™ has world leading water efficiency, using less than 1 liter of water, whereas a conventional toilet uses approximately 6-12 liters per flush.

Recently, Australian inventors Tom Trainor and Mark Hutton came up with a product that they claim uses up to 90% less water than a regular toilet. The EVOLUTE is still in the development phase, and is not expected to be available to the public until 2012.

Not a bad idea, eh? I think these guys will be very successful!

…. as the green future unfolds.

I think this is a marvelous idea – especially here in Southern Nevada where they don’t really have any idea when (or if, but most likely when) Lake Mead will dry up. Every drop saved is another drop available 🙂

Better long term solution than putting plastic bags full of water in the cistern…

  6. Otakore Literantadodist Says:

Great invention. I think it’s better than the invention of the Japanese on the other news (they recycled the flushed water into drinkable water which is awkward to . . . drink).

We are the only species on the planet that has the power and ability to invent things. It seems such a sad waste that we do not give more credit to inventors who place a high priority on inventing items that cut down on wastefulness like this.
Too many of us take such inventions for granted. Perhaps we should have an Olympics for inventors of such inventions we would probably have more of them then. Perhaps – wishful thinking!!

Not many blogs have me running to the bathroom after reading a post. 🙂 I just had to see where my toilet falls in the scheme of things – 6L per flush. You don’t really think about how much that is until you really think about it. It sure would be nice if future toilets drop that below 1L that would be pretty significant.

most urinals in the mens room is 3.8 lpf or 1gpf, that’s a little better for guys, but something concrete for women would be great.

Anything to help the planet 🙂
