Power in Near Calm
Hornet wind turbine blades verses hyperspin blades
Here is a video that will show that even in 6 mph winds, the blades will turn!

Okay so I’m confused… the first one was turning but not producing any energy, yes? (Also he was measuring wind velocity at ground level so that’s sort of unscientific LOL). Anyway, what’s your take Linda on this video? I’m curious

It’s funny now that we have eco versus bad eco. I like the way you portrayed the story with the video. I really enjoyed reading up on the controversy. I hope also you are doing well Linda. I have a page now on my blog at the top so it may help you in your online endeavors. Gimme a shout if you need anything, come visit me soon. God bless yanji.

I’m guessing this could be good news. Instead of only getting energy from the big wind turbines, we could do something similar with smaller versions.

WoW, this is a very powerful wind blades indeed, Linda! I was wondering, what’s the retail price for this device?

Hi Diane … My take is that the test that was being conducted was to show that 3 blade or 6 blades can move air! Irregardless of the design. The six blade was moving in 6 mph wind in which some wind turbines do not. Measuring wind from the ground versus the roof, differences are minimal.

Hi yanjiaren … It is crazy! I will be by later…

Hi Barbara … Yes! I am finding that most DIYers out there are doing just as good of a job with wind turbines as the big guys.

Hi LadyGrace … He was proving that regardless of the design of the blades, they will move and do the job.

Hi William … They have not posted a price as of yet .

vertical axis wind turbines is that the horizontal wind turbines have a tail rudder that always moves to face the turbine into the wind. Depending on how the wind is blowing, this can be distracting or downright annoying.
Vertical axis wind turbines are stationary and can be anchored with guy wires. As for which type of turbine captures the wind better, there is debate there as well. Horizontal turbines will get wind at ground level, where the vertical turbines miss it, yet vertical wind turbines capture wind that is higher up in the air.

Hi Vertical … Thanks for clearing up the difference! I was wondering if you are using the horizontal yourself?
