Passchal Bags
Have you heard of Passchal Bags? They launched in May, 2004, and through word of mouth, have instantly caught the attention of both the media and celebrities. They have been featured on the Today Show, Entrepreneur and Rolling Stones magazines, the Billboard Music Awards, Olympus Fashion Week and was just featured at the Access Hollywood Gifting Lounge during the Golden Globes a few days ago in Hollywood.
The founders decided that since backpacks were being made from inner tubes, why not bags and decided to start collecting the tractor tire inner tubes. The discarded tubes are collected from tire centers in VA, Ohio, and GA then undergo rigorous but environmentally friendly multi-day cleaning process. They use high quality hardware from Switzerland. Eco friendly leathers are by-products vegetable dyed and chrome free. Each bag has an interior led light that shuts off automatically.
Inner tubes are like fingerprints, the markings on the inner tubes are so vast in their design, that no two bags are exactly alike.
Every bag is handmade and to date, Passchal has recycled approx. 20 tons of inner tubes! Yipes! That is a lot of work and my hands hurt just thinking about it!
