Holiday Message
Have you ever noticed on the news coverage of horrific events, the people jumping
into a freezing river to save others or racing into a burning building to rescue
victims, never, ever stop to ask about religious affliations, ethnic origins,
sexual orintation, or the native language of the rescuee? They don’t care. Because
at that moment, the only thing that matters is perserving life, even sometimes, at
the cost of their own. It happens all over the world everday, young men, old women,
and even little kid heroes.
What I am saying is, this compassion for our fellow humans is in us all. If the
path of our life brings us to the point of a dramatic life savings or just a small
act of kindness, it shows we care.
The internet has brought us all together. Now we are getting to know each other,
and find we are really much more alike than not. We care for each other and our
planet and it shows, more and more everyday.
So, before I leave to spend Christmas with my loved ones, I want to let you Forced
Green readers, from every walk of life, all around this world, know how much I care
and appreciate you and thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your loyalty to Forced
Green is an honor.
And if you were wondering… all I want for Christmas is…
…..and could I get that in green?

I am glad to see someone sees the good in what the internet has done for all of us. I hope we can keep it that way as everyone needs to be aware they are trying to take it away from us. Net Neutrality anyone.

Hi Green Fitness … I know what you mean. It will take all of us to keep it that way!

Good thoughts, Linda. Yes, the essence of human nature is pure and far beyond race, sex, age, and culture. May we all come closer to the shining light that is each of our existences, and find new ways to share our kindness with others.

Well, it’s nice to know that we are actually improving. It’s hard to see the larger picture when we are so caught up in it’s creation; but if you step back and look at the objective data. Humanity is improving… and rather quickly recently as well.
For example check out Steven Pinker’s new book (he’s written a few articles about it… the book should come out in about a year) about how Humanity is actually getting less and less violent. Society is saving us, not corrupting us (in the bigger picture)

Hi David … Thank you David, what thought provoking words. Yes, I believe we are all spiritually linked to the planet as well. Now that we are all finding that out, gives us hope for the future, don’t you think?
Hi mogs … Thanks for coming by mogs as you are absolutely correct. An artist must always take a step back to fully see their work. And I agree humanity is improving and it feels good.

Helloooooooooooooooo Linda!
Thanks for the nice Christmas card. It was great to hear from you.
I know I’ve been totally off the radar for about three months and I do miss all the interaction. Whereas, I’m sure I’ll be back at it at some point, I’ve stopped making predictions.
Ken and Jan and Beth are keeping me busy to the point where I don’t have extended periods of time to write. That’s difficult for me because I don’t (won’t) just throw anything up there. My head needs fairly good chunks of time to write the way I want.
Anyway, we’ll see how it goes in the coming year.
Meanwhile, I’ve spent the last two weeks dealing with the effects of Global Warming – a foot and a half of snow.
Hope you’re well! Happy New Year!
