World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) 2009
World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) is a partnership project among organizations
and individuals from various countries. It was an idea conceptualized by HRH
Prince Frederick Saxe-Lauenberg. The project is headed by Brotherhood of
Destiny, Inc. (BROOD) and will happen on May 2009.
The event aims to bring together the youth from around the world and from the
Philippines to discuss themes like Peace and Human Rights, Climate Change,
Sustainable Lifestyle, Entrepreneurship and Education and Technology.
“Today´s young people will bear the consequences of climate change, thanks to
the unfortunate legacy of their elders. In many developing countries in
particular, youth – especially girls and young women– are often responsible
for farming, finding water and collecting fuel wood. These tasks will be
rendered more difficult and will take even more time away from education or
productive activities as climate change affects the availability of water,
agricultural productivity and the survival of ecosystems.”
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urges the youth around the world
to invest their energies and bright ideas into shaping a safer, more
sustainable planet. This was delivered by the UN Secretary-General on the
occasion of the International Youth Day, August 12, 2008.
The Executive Committee of WCYF 2009 is holding a contest to help get the word out
by awarding 15,000 ecs and I am one of the sponsors.

I was wondering if you would like to sponsor the Cyber Earth Caravan and contest
for the World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) 2009.
Any prize or award will be greatly appreciated.

Hola everyone who are readers and contributors to this very informative website,
I guess you followed the deliberations and discussions for the five days of the WCYF in Quezon City and all the delegates approximately 100 in number ranging in age from 15 to 30 including a few adults over 30
enjoyed themselves. I am pleased to report that the event was a qualified success as far as UNESCO were concerned. But as with all inaugural events there were a few mistakes and we will learn from these as we now proceed to 2011 when in September the second World Creative Youth Forum will take place. Hope to see you there including some of our friends from Latin America.
Salamat po!
Frederick
