Commercial Kitchens Going Green !
FoodServiceWarehouse.com is a Greenwood Village, Colorado company that
was started by a group of avid environmentalists. Their commitment to the
environment can be seen from the environmentally conscious way that they run
their own company and the programs they have developed to help the restaurant
industry become more environmentally responsible.
As part of their services, they have created an industry leading certification
program aimed at helping commercial kitchens cope with the costs and complexities
of going green. The program features educational resources, rewards and the industry’s
only free certification process, modeled after, and fulfilling credits for LEED
(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
Their goal is to help the environment, save money and earn rewards. Complete their
five-part program and become a Certified Green Commercial Kitchen™.

» Water Conservation
» Waste Reduction

They invite you to visit their website
http://www.foodservicewarehouse.com/going-green/c11836.aspx , and check out
what they think is the most complete resource on the web for commercial kitchens
looking to go green.
And to show their dedication in helping commercial kitchens slash energy costs,
conserve water and reduce their environmental impact, they are giving away a green
commercial kitchen worth up to $40,000 to one qualifying kitchen.
Good Luck to all of the restaurants that take this challenge to “Go Green” and
reduce your costs and footprint on earth.

Hi Linda,
This is a brilliant idea. Can you imagine what the utility bills for a large commercial kitchen must be? HUGE! Even small improvements would make a difference.

Wow it would be amazing if many restaurants go green. It would have a massive effect. As long as people stay aware of eco-friendly as more are these days, more business will try to become green to earn their customers and attract employers.
