Believe it or Not!
The first American Flag sewn by Betsy Ross was made of Hemp!
Recycled aluminum cans has saved 15 million barrels of oil per year.
This is the amount of energy it would take to manufacture new cans
had the recycled ones been tossed.
The DOE (Department of Energy) is faced with cleaning up 1.4 billion
cubic feet of contaminated soil (enough to fill 17 sports stadiums),
and 1.7 trillion gallons of contaminated ground water.
One ton of recycled paper saves about 30 trees, 7,000 gallons of water,
4 kilowatt hours of electricity, and 60 lbs of air pollutants.
A landfill in Florida will soon be using Plasma-Arc Technology to
vaporize its garbage at 10,000°F. The 3,000 tons of trash burned daily
will generate enough electricity to power 36,000 homes.

Just think how much we would save if we actually made a real effort to rid the world of fossil fuel based products.
Governments say they endorse greener products, especially cars. When in fact, very little is being done. For instance how many hydrogen garages do you know of?

The Florida story got my attention. Can you imagine 10000 degrees of heat? That’s amazing that they can so much electricity by using that process. Makes me wonder why more landfills don’t do the same thing.

Hi Barbara … So hot that it should burn anything in its path. Once the idea is out there, more will do the same is my hope.
