So many painful statistics to face. I love red meat, but have reduced my consumption to once a week or less. Not only do cows produce greenhouse gasses, but they also take a ton of water to keep alive. As for construction, in Steamboat Springs, CO we recycle as much building materials as possible. When we had our recycling business we recycled tons of construction waste + other wood waste. We ended up with a completely resalable product and had very little waste. I did a recycling presentation for my son's cub scout group this spring, and it was really eye-opening. What was cool was that in preparing for it, my two youngest kids helped out, and they really got into some of the statistics. I think that's great, and hopefully the more kids that take even a slight interest will help our planet down the road. Good luck with the bubble wrap!!!
